Compassion & Cheer with Christmas Bikes
We partnered with Heart of Compassion, another local nonprofit, to refurbish bikes they distributed to families and kids for Christmas. Here are some heart warming stories of fixing bikes and making friends this past Christmas!
This father was discharged from the army due to a disability. He gave this bike to his younger daughter for Christmas.
Mary was full of energy and happy to be out of the house to join Heart of Compassion's outreach program and get a new bike!
At first, this young boy just wanted to be modest and take a toy truck as a gift. When asked if he would rather take a bicycle, he replied, “Are you sure?!” with a great big smile. What a heart for wanting less so others can have more!
A single mother and her two sons walk away with a bike for the youngest son. She works six days a week at a warehouse, and being able to give gifts to her sons this year was an answered prayer.
