Kurt Johnson | Program Manager

Kurt has been immersed in the bike industry since 1994, bringing more than two decades of hands-on expertise to our team. Over the years, he’s served as a mechanic, led high-performing teams, and managed bike shops with a deep commitment to quality and customer service. Originally from New England, Kurt also races mountain bikes and brings that same passion and precision into his work.

He joined our team in the summer of 2024 and quickly became a trusted resource for riders of all levels. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll likely find him out on the trails, spending time with his two cats—Oscar and Pickles—or traveling with his wife as they explore new places to camp and ride. For Kurt, bikes aren’t just a career—they’re a way of life.

Youth Apprentices

Every summer, 6-Cycle teen graduates are hired to work in the shop. It is often their first job, and we train them in the hard skills of bike repair and the soft skills of job responsibility and customer service. They continue to work through the school year and help coach the incoming 6-Cycle students!
